Will one go to heaven if he does not believe in Jesus?

No.

Jesus, the alpha and the omega, the one, the universal being who is one and all, the beginning and the end, the timeless and eternal.

If one does not believe in Jesus, of course, the only place is hell and suffering. There will be no liberation from confusion.

That is what constitutes a belief in Jesus.

This is wholly different from simply uttering 'I believe in Jesus' and thinking one is saved.

Reflect and Understand.

The correct approach to the Bible

What then is the correct way of approaching the bible?

Fighting the Bible on the grounds of historical certainty is a meaningless, time consuming activity. One should move beyond that.

Using the Bible literally to find out, for example, whether infant baptism is mandatory or not, whether abortion is allowed, etc is a meaningless, time consuming activity. One should move beyond that.

This is how you should approach the bible.

Having the parables serve as augmenting lights, shining on a murky thought you knew all along within the quietness of your heart.

Understanding the essence behind Paul and Jesus's teachings; what they are getting at, not what they said.

Baghavad-Gita Inspirations

Within the bend of a fretted note, I am there.
Within 2 or 3 gathered in earnest, I am there.
Within an army of generals, I am there.

I am the laughter within a group of friends.
I am the conversation within a group of friends.
I am the one worshipped behind the abulations.
I am the bond when two people meet.
I am the one arising from your prayer.
I am the cleanliness behind your fasting.

I am reality and unreality.
Being and not being.
Tangible and not tangible.
I appear to you through these words.

I am the Lord Krishna.
The one beyond what is.
