Lost and Found
I closed my eyes and calmed the tempest in me.
That which kept itself hidden for months was the one I sought to retrieve.
Yet when all became still nothing spoken was heard.
I heaved. Tried again.
And then the unease grew within me like
millions of angry ants
intending to gnaw their way out of my skin;
Waiting to burst out when I could no longer hold them in.
That which kept itself hidden for months was the one I sought to retrieve.
Yet when all became still nothing spoken was heard.
I heaved. Tried again.
And then the unease grew within me like
millions of angry ants
intending to gnaw their way out of my skin;
Waiting to burst out when I could no longer hold them in.
